Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) -
The Department of Defense (DoD) Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) program provides a lifetime benefit of up to $6,000 of Financial Assistance (FA) for military spouses who are pursuing licenses, certificates, credentials or degree programs leading to employment in Portable Career Fields.

Who Is Eligible -
Spouses of DoD Active Duty members and activated members of the National Guard and Reserve Components who are on Title 10 orders are eligible to receive MyCAA Financial Assistance (FA).

The Military, Civilian and Spouses' Club (MCSC) -
The Military, Civilian and Spouses' Club (MCSC), the only organization of its kind in the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) military community, is making good progress positioning itself to thrive as a result of the changes brought to our military community by BRAC – by growing both the size of the club and the scope of our philanthropic efforts. The MCSC efforts to raise funds are used to support welfare requests from APG organizations, as well as those in the surrounding and supporting communities. Each year the MCSC contributes thousands of dollars and volunteer hours to local and national organizations. A significant portion of fundraising efforts provides scholarship awards.

This year we opened Eligibility for the MCSC scholarship program includes the outstanding high school seniors and continuing college students of all DoD families, both military and civilian, in APG's military community and to the spouses of APG's active duty service members. The program assists military students who, due to frequent moves, do not have the advantages of longevity and stability in the school district making them less competitive for local community scholarships. The scholarships are merit based, weighing personal responsibility, leadership, citizenship, diversity of interests and academic achievement.

Scholarship funding comes from sales of the MCSC recently published cookbook, Recipes from Quiet Lodge, 249 wonderful recipes contributed by our members and friends and organized in a padded, hard-cover 3-ring binder with stand, available for $15. The cookbook is also offered on a CD for $15. Purchase of the cookbook and CD together are $25. Delivery is free within Harford County; shipping via USPS outside of Harford County is $7. Home Depot Foundation's Veteran Home Repair Program is for veterans who have been honorably discharged. Thanks to the Home Depot Foundation, Habitat For Humanity Susquehanna can do up to $10,000 of repairs to a veterans home. Click Here for more details.
